GROUP SHOW BY independent artists living on kaurna yarta

Flinders Medical Centre - Arts in Health

 

This exhibition featured artworks by independent artists living and working on Kaurna Yarta. Connected through arts & health, these artists are health workers, community leaders and teachers.For these artists, art supports healing and uplifts younger generations. 

Rhubee Neale – An Anmatjere/Arrernte woman who is passionate about family, culture, and heritage. She embeds aspects of who she is in every artwork. 

Belinda Wilson – An Ngarrindjeri woman, Belinda now lives in Port Adelaide and works at Nunkuwarrin Yunti health service as a social health case worker for child & youth, social &emotional well-being. 

Raquel Larkins – Raquel is a proud Kokatha, Dieri, Arabana and Narungga woman who started painting as a form of self-care. She is a project support worker and artist assistant, Raquel teachesart as a form of healing.

Iteka Ukarla Sanderson-Bromley – An Adnyamathanha, Narungga & Yarluyandi woman, living onKaurna country. Iteka is a dancer and visual artist who shares culture through dance, art, and teaching in schools. 

Sasha Hill—Sasha Hill is a Yamatji/Noongar artist living and working in Kaurna Yarta. She is also an art therapist, social worker, and maker who runs her own art and consultancy business.
