The Ku Arts Symposium, hosted by Lavene Ngatokoura, brings together Aboriginal artists, Elders, cultural leaders and industry advocates to share stories, experiences, and visions for the future of Aboriginal arts.

The theme “Everyone Starts Somewhere” guides three panel conversations:

  • Sharing Stories with Marita Baker and Alison Milyika Carroll, facilitated by Lavene Ngatokoura

  • Collaboration, Success & Longevity in the Regions with Collette Gray, Kristal Matthews, and Marli Mcumba, facilitated by Marika Davies

  • Protecting Culture: Indigenous Cultural & Intellectual Property (ICIP) in Practice with Joanne Driessens and Mickey Barlow, facilitated by Stephanie Parkin

This free event is open to the public and offers a rare opportunity to listen, learn, and connect with leaders of South Australia’s Aboriginal arts sector.
