Two Sistas flying through the night in hunt for a feed, they fly together and keep close to each other to protect each other. These bats represent the connection, sense of protection, care and love I personally share with my sister.
Corinne Tillett is a Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr, Ngarabal and Walbanja Yuin woman living on Dharawal country. She is a multidisciplinary artist working across the techniques of weaving, painting and shell work. Corinne has developed her weaving skills through time spent with her elder Dr. Jodi Edwards; this allowed her to not only gain a new skill but develop her own style and progress into teaching weaving herself to youth and her wider community. Her work tells the story of the natural world, Dreaming stories and symbols found in the surrounding country. Some of her favourite things to create are woven animals in both three dimensional and two-dimensional styles.
