Five generations of woman descend from our munda. Our land changes with the seasons, the land thirsty for rain. The cattle tramples the ground , leaving cracks in the earth ready for the rains to bring to life the wild pretty flowers that cover the land like a rainbow blanket.

Judith Crosby was born in Port Augusta, South Australia in August of 1969. From strong connections through Wankangurra and Low Southern Arrernte from her grandmother and Yankunytjatjara from her Grandfather, she is a proud Aboriginal woman.

Judith’s artwork features vibrant colours and defined imagery of bush food and flora such as berries, bush tomato, honey suckle, wild bush flowers, and tracks imprinted on the land. Through her art, Judith feels she is able to share the richness and connections to culture and land and the knowledge that has been passed from grandmother to mother to daughter and so on.

Judith works in Education, ensuring Aboriginal Cultural knowledge and appropriateness is implemented as part of the Australian Curriculum at the schools she works in partnership with. In collaboration with several organisations to she has created murals and shared cultural knowledge and wellbeing. Judith is passionate about strengthening change in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Education, Health, and Wellbeing. Judith has commissioned artwork for personal stories within the local community and through this has strengthened acknowledgment and acceptance of shared histories.

To inspire other Aboriginal people is what drives her passion in Culture through Art and Design.

Judith ensures the knowledge is passed to her children through Art and Storytelling.
