“This artwork reflects the deep cultural and spiritual connection that Ngarrindjeri people hold with water. For thousands of generations, ceremony has taken place along the shores of the lakes, river, and sea — places where community gathers, knowledge is shared, and identity is strengthened.
The flowing forms in the painting represent the interconnected waterways of Ngarrindjeri Country and the songlines that travel between them. These waters carry stories of creation, renewal, and belonging, reminding us that water is a living force that binds families, communities, and Country together.”
Currently showing in Water Stories at Yitpi Yartapuultiku until 16 March 2026.
Please note that artwork purchases will be available for collection in late March from the Ku Arts office in Tarntanya / Adelaide.
