Ngayuku Ngura translates to ‘my Country’. Through her works, Ruth depicts connections to her Country through walka (design or mark making), referencing the landscape of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands.
Ruth Nelson is a Pitjantjatjara and Warlpiri artist who works with Iwiri Arts in Yartapuulti/Port Adelaide. Her works speak to her deep connection the the APY Lands and her Country.
