”This is the story of the sisters who travelled across Country in the Dreaming. As they moved, the land responded to them. Wildflowers rose from their footsteps, colour spread across the desert, and everything they passed became vibrant & alive. This painting honours that journey - a path of creation, beauty, and deep connection to Country. The sisters carried strength, knowledge, & purpose. The land blossomed in recognition of their presence. Through this work we celebrate the story they left behind: a reminder that even in the harshest places, something beautiful can grow.

Jenna and Vera Richards (two sisters) are proud Barngarla, Nauo, Wirangu, Gubran, Noongar, Ngaji, Balardong artists from Galinyala/Port Lincoln with family connections spanning the Eyre Peninsula, Goldfields and Southern Wheatbelt of Western Australia. Deeply connected to culture, Country and community, their practices reflect strong storytelling traditions and the continuation of Barngarla knowldge.
