Trina Dalton-Oogjes is a Wadawarrung/Wathaurung & Gunditjmara artist. Her art is a way of connecting to her culture, which is reflected in her work. Trina’s weaving is informed by traditional weaving practices, creating baskets with a variety of fibres. Experimenting beyond basket forms, Trina has created wall hangings with traditional weaving patterns and colours. She often gathers inspiration for her artwork from her Ancestors, Elders, animals, land, water and the sky. She also enjoys painting, designing possum skin cloaks and wood burning. Trina is also a member of NGKM Ngardang Girri Kalat Mimini Art Collective.
